Back in 1968, Norman Evan Riddle founded the Snake River Outfitters, Rafting and Jetboating company. His inspiration was a trip he had taken on the Snake River between Idaho and Oregon through the Hells Canyon Wilderness Area. Had he owned a stronger boat, the journey would have been less treacherous and difficult, so when he returned home to Washington and started constructing hardier boats that could tackle choppy waters.

To this day, Weldcraft builds boats of a higher caliber to meet the needs of adventurous boaters all across the country. They remain local to the PNW, though, with their headquarters in Clarkston, Washington.

The offshore and big water models by Weldcraft are some of their most popular boats, with designs that go above and beyond in terms of what they can handle.
